Cliff Goldenrod (Solidago drummondii)

Cliff Goldenrod is a clump-forming forb that reaches 1.5-2.5 feet in height. Arching stems are covered at the ends with tiny, bright yellow flower heads, blooming September through October. Flowers attract butterflies and other pollinators. Prefers dry to average soil moisture and full sun to medium shade. Thrives in rocky soil and would do well in north-facing foundation beds. Endemic to the Ozarks, this broad-leaved goldenrod is typically found growing on limestone bluffs in central/southern Missouri and northern Arkansas.
