Ozark Bluestar (Amsonia illustris)

Ozark Bluestar is a clumping perennial forb that reaches 3 feet in height. Expect clusters of powder blue star-shaped flowers sitting atop the upright stems May through June. Prefers wet to average soil moisture and full sun to light shade.

A very popular garden member. The foliage looks good all summer, and leaves turn a striking yellow-gold in fall. Ozark endemic.
