Prairie Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius)

Prairie Ninebark is an elegant shrub that reaches 8 to 9 feet in height. Expect aromatic white/pink blooms May through June. Flowers attract many pollinators and arching stems provide cover for songbirds. Brilliant fall foliage and exfoliating bark extend visual interest into winter. Tolerates a wide range of soil moisture and sun/shade. Grows well in clay soils.
